Coal mines in China

1.Mining accidents can have a variety of causes, including leaks of poisonous gases such as hydrogen sulfide or explosive natural gases, especially methane,  collapsing of mines, flooding, or general mechanical errors from not using the equipment correctly.
2.Families in the United states get a lot of money if they have lost a family member in a coal mining accident.( 1.5 million in this article).  In China they receive funeral cost of $1,577 then get compensation of 660,000 yuan.
3. In China they have watchdog's and lou blamed the local watchdog for lax supervision and the mining company was working Illegally they had lost their license from over a year ago. In China they have frequent gas explosions, floods and fires killing hundreds of people a year. In United states we are just to stupid to do basic safety measures.

Deepwater Horizan disaster

Who do I think was most directly responsible for the Deepwater Horizon disaster was the government because they really just wanted money so they took their money and said okay do whatever you want pretty much. Instead what the government really should have done was make sure to watch the program of the oil company. They government or whomever should have hired very experienced workers.

Irrawaddy Myitsone Dam

Prompt: Who would have benefited from the construction of the dam and power plant? Why did the people of the region oppose the construction? What is the opinion of the author/website on the construction project, and how can you tell?
China would benefit 90% of the electricity.

oppsing the construction because it could flood 766 square kilometers of forested area and cause irreversible damage to Burma's key river system, as well as to downstream rice paddy communities.
environmental impacts, displacement, and threats to cultural sites, but also because the dam is located less than 100 kilometers from a major fault line, posing a risk to basin inhabitants should an earthquake weaken the dam structure or cause landslides in the reservoir. If the Myitsone Dam were to break during an earthquake, it would endanger the lives of hundred of thousands of people by flooding Kachin State's largest city, Myikyina.

Steno's principles puzzle

Layer 1 was deposited Intrusion 2 formed Intrusion 3 formed Layer 4 was deposited Layer 5 was deposited Earth cracked at fault B
4 was deposited, 5 deposited, 2 formed intrusion, 1 deposited intrusion, 3 formed layer, 6
I think this was the order it went in because as Steno's principle of super-position, newest on top oldest on bottom and that's how I tried to figure this puzzle out.
